Primary Science – 1:1 Personalised Learning helps young learners explore the world around them, build secure scientific understanding and develop curiosity through individual online lessons tailored to their age, current knowledge and learning goals.
Lessons introduce and develop key areas of primary science, including living things, the human body, plants, materials, forces, light, sound, electricity, Earth and space. Learners are encouraged not only to remember scientific facts, but also to ask questions, make predictions, observe patterns, explain what they notice and begin thinking scientifically.
Because lessons are taught 1:1, teaching can be adapted to reinforce school learning, address gaps in understanding or extend learners who are ready for greater challenge. Topics can also be connected to everyday experiences, helping learners see how science relates to the world around them.
Lessons are delivered live online, 1:1 with an experienced teacher, providing opportunities for explanation, discussion, visual demonstrations, guided activities and regular review.
Where appropriate, learners may take part in simple, safe practical activities or investigations using everyday materials, helping make scientific ideas engaging and meaningful. Any practical activities can be selected according to the learner's age and learning environment.
There is no fixed starting point. Teaching can be adapted to the learner's curriculum and educational context, making the course suitable for learners who need additional support, want to consolidate their current science learning or would benefit from further exploration and challenge.
