Primary English – 1:1 Personalised Learning helps young learners build strong foundations in English through individual online lessons tailored to their current level, learning needs and goals.
Lessons develop the core areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, alongside vocabulary, spelling, grammar, punctuation and comprehension. Teaching is adapted to the individual learner rather than following a fixed programme, allowing additional support where needed and greater challenge as skills and confidence develop.
Learners may work on areas such as reading fluency and comprehension, sentence construction, creative and descriptive writing, spelling patterns, punctuation, grammar, vocabulary development and expressing ideas clearly. For younger or developing readers, lessons can also include appropriate support with phonics, decoding and word recognition.
English skills are taught in meaningful contexts, helping learners understand how language works and how to use it effectively. Reading activities can encourage learners to identify key information, make inferences, discuss characters and ideas and respond thoughtfully to different texts. Writing activities can help learners organise their ideas, choose vocabulary carefully and develop increasingly accurate and engaging written work.

Lessons are delivered live online, 1:1 with an experienced teacher, providing plenty of opportunity for explanation, discussion, guided practice and immediate feedback. Activities can be adapted to the learner’s interests and ability, helping lessons remain engaging while maintaining clear academic purpose.
Teaching can complement the learner’s school curriculum, provide additional support in areas they find challenging or extend their learning beyond what they are currently studying. Progress can be reviewed regularly and priorities adjusted as the learner develops.
Because children develop literacy skills at different rates, there is no single starting point. The programme can be adapted for learners who need additional support with foundational skills as well as confident learners ready for greater challenge.
