AS & A Level Physics – 1:1 Personalised Learning provides advanced, individual support for learners studying Physics at AS or A Level. Lessons are tailored to the learner’s current level, examination specification, strengths and areas for development, helping them master physical principles, strengthen mathematical and analytical skills and prepare confidently for assessments and examinations.
Teaching can support ongoing school or college study, address gaps in understanding, explore challenging concepts in greater depth or provide structured revision and examination preparation. At this level, learners are encouraged to move beyond memorising equations and develop a secure understanding of how physical principles relate, how mathematical models describe physical systems and how knowledge can be applied to unfamiliar problems.
Depending on the learner’s course and specification, areas of study may include mechanics, forces and motion, momentum, energy and power, materials, electricity, waves and optics, oscillations, thermal physics, gravitational and electric fields, circular motion, electromagnetism, nuclear physics and other areas of modern physics.
Mathematical, practical and analytical skills are integrated throughout the course. Learners can develop confidence with selecting and manipulating equations, multi-stage calculations, interpreting graphs, analysing experimental data, evaluating practical procedures and communicating physical reasoning clearly.
Lessons are delivered live online, 1:1 with an experienced teacher, allowing teaching to focus closely on the learner’s individual needs. Complex concepts and calculations can be broken down carefully, misconceptions addressed as they arise and additional challenge introduced where appropriate.
Where relevant, lessons can incorporate diagrams, simulations, mathematical modelling, practical contexts, experimental data, calculations, exam-style questions and past-paper practice. Learners can also receive targeted support with the mathematical demands of advanced Physics and developing clear, logically structured solutions to multi-step problems.
As examinations approach, lessons can become increasingly focused on targeted revision, past-paper practice, question interpretation, examination technique and identifying recurring areas for improvement.
Teaching can be adapted to the learner’s specific AS or A Level Physics specification, where appropriate, rather than following one fixed programme for every learner.
