Academic English – 1:1 Personalised Learning helps learners develop the English language skills needed to communicate confidently and effectively in academic settings. Individual online lessons are tailored to the learner’s current level, educational context and academic goals.
Lessons develop academic reading, writing, speaking and listening, alongside vocabulary, critical thinking, research and communication skills. Rather than following a fixed programme, teaching is adapted to the learner, allowing focused support in the areas most relevant to their studies.
Learners may work on areas such as understanding complex texts, developing academic vocabulary, structuring written responses, expressing ideas clearly, participating in discussions, presenting information and using evidence effectively.
Teaching focuses not only on English accuracy, but also on helping learners communicate ideas with increasing clarity, structure and independence.
Lessons are delivered live online, 1:1 with an experienced teacher, providing opportunities for explanation, guided practice, feedback and regular review.
Because academic English needs vary according to the learner’s age, proficiency and educational setting, lessons can be adapted around individual priorities. The level of challenge and areas of focus can also change as the learner progresses.
