AS & A Level Science – 1:1 Personalised Learning
AS & A Level Science – 1:1 Personalised Learning provides advanced, individual support for learners studying Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics at AS or A Level. Lessons are tailored to the learner’s current level, examination specification, subject combination and academic goals, helping them deepen scientific understanding and prepare confidently for advanced study and examinations.
This course is particularly suitable for learners who require support across more than one science subject, or whose learning programme benefits from flexible tuition spanning Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Learners requiring support in only one science can instead choose a dedicated AS & A Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics course.
Teaching can reinforce school or college learning, address gaps in understanding, explore challenging concepts in greater depth or provide structured revision and examination preparation. At this level, emphasis is placed not only on subject knowledge but also on analysis, application, mathematical reasoning, practical understanding and evaluation.
Depending on the learner’s subjects and specification, areas of study may include cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, physiology and ecology; atomic structure, bonding, energetics, equilibria and organic chemistry; mechanics, electricity, waves, fields and modern physics.

Lessons are delivered live online, 1:1 with an experienced teacher, allowing teaching to focus closely on the learner’s individual programme and priorities. Complex concepts can be explored in depth, misconceptions addressed as they arise and additional challenge introduced where appropriate.
Where relevant, lessons can incorporate practical contexts, experimental data, calculations, scientific interpretation, exam-style questions and past-paper practice. As examinations approach, teaching can become increasingly focused on targeted revision and examination technique.
Teaching can be adapted to the learner’s specific AS or A Level examination specification, where appropriate, rather than following one fixed programme for every learner.
